  • Students, parents, and teachers are expected to behave in a respectful, kind and professional manor towards one another within our Dance Academy.

  • Students are the responsibility of the teacher during class times whilst in the studio or hall only.

  • In order to maintain hygiene and health and safety hair must be tied back, no jewellery is permitted apart from small studs and correct uniform should be worn. Please label all items of uniform clearly.

  • Parents or mature students must inform teachers of any illness or injury prior to ballet.

  • Parents are asked to give a minimum of  half a terms notice in writing if a student decides they no longer wish to attend their classes. Students who leave without notice will be invoiced accordingly. Students are automatically enrolled to each new term unless notice is given. Please give notice to ensure we can offer the space to pupils on the waiting list and to best utilise our teaching schedule and hall availability.

  • Examination entries are at the discretion of the teacher and pupils will only be entered when the teacher decides they are ready. Please respect the teacher’s professional opinion where examinations are concerned.

  • Teachers of The Rosemary Bell Academy of Dance will at times use physical correction whilst teaching dance. This is a tool used to aid learning and understanding of movement. If you would like to discuss this further please contact your child’s teacher.

  • Teachers of the Rosemary Bell Academy of Dance are fully qualified Royal Academy of Dance registered teachers.  As Royal Academy teachers we must adhere to our own code of conduct. This can be found on the RAD website. www.rad.org.uk

  • Teachers are fully insured against public liability and have a full current criminal record check and first aid certificate.
